my philosophy of life
1. life if meaningless
life is short. we are here for a blink of an eye. what this world has to offer isn't actually that important. when we die, i don't think that we'll really be wanting to know what kind of money we earned, how high our grades were in high school. i think we'll be interested in stuff like "how close was i to my family and friends? did i use my time wisely? what did i do in this world that i'll be remembered for? how was my life pleasing to God?" take risks, make mistakes, go on adventures, learn, grow, live. think about what's really important. live each day to the fullest-it could be your last.
2. be real
God made you who you are for a reason. learn to love and take care of yourself- body, mind and spirit. and grow in your character. take time to "find yourself", think about who you are, set beliefs, morals and values that you stand for. get to know yourself. be honest in everything you do. don't try to be like everyone else, "be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" (dr. Suess) don’t speak death, speak life. let each word you say mean something. take the time to get to know other people too, your friendship is one of the most important things you can give anyone.
3. love
that is God’s greatest commandment, and the most important thing in your life! if you don’t got love, you’ve got nothing! love God, and love others. what else is there to do? love with everything inside of you, from the centre of who you are. your love effects peoples lives. get along with everyone, and spill the love God’s given you onto those around you.
4. God sees the whole picture
we only see through the tiny hole of our human blindfolds. we can't live our lives and make decisions perfectly. that's why we need God's help. he knows and understands us completely and has thoughts and plans way bigger than what we can see. ask for, or imagine. so trust in him. seek him first. delight in him, and he will give you what you need, and what you desire.
5. worry does nothing
worrying or stressing out is not going to change a thing. it won't make what you're going through any better or easier, and you won't get anything done. so take it easy. sometimes things come, but you'll make it through.. you're still alive today after all the stuff you've been through already. so simmer down, it's all good! stay positive, always see the good things in every situation. don’t worry bout anything. instead, pray about everything. know that God has everything under control, and he cares about what happens to you.
6. God made the world, and everything in it - just for us
he wants us to enjoy it, take care of it, and take care of ourselves. it brings joy to his heart, and completes his will when we take the time to experience and explore the world. when we don't take what he gives us for granted. When we live in the moment and cease every opportunity. simply enjoying God's creation is worship to him. doing the things you love to do, and seeing that you're happy makes him happy too.
7. relationship with God
The relation you have with God should not be based on emotions. he is always so close to you no matter where you’re at or what you feel. I think that it’s something we as Christians don’t understand. you are as close to God as you decide or want to be. Christianity isn’t about all the rules either, he’s so full of grace. he’s not out to condemn you or judge you, he takes you as you are, and loves you the same. we’ll never understand it, so we might as well stop analysing it, and receive what he’s got to offer!
8. in him we live and move and have our being
he is in us and we are in him we dwell together. he is always with us through everything; good or bad. he laughs when we laugh, and cry’s when we cry. he's always around us, every second of every day, wherever we are, and whatever we're doing. he knows us better than we know ourselves. he knows what we think about before the thought comes, he knows what we're going to do before we do it. Every moment we experience, God’s right there experiencing it with us.
9. Worship
it’s more then just playing music and singing… it’s your response to what god’s given you. It’s your life. anything that you do can be worship. it can please his heart. just living our lives in recognition of his presence, enjoying what he’s made to the full, and finding what you need in him is worship. your heartbeat and each breath brings joy to our father..
in conclusion...
life your live pleasing to God. focus on the things that are really important. spend time building relationships. don’t waste time, live a full life. take risks, enjoy yourself. every moment, recognise God's presence. let him live and experience your life with you, that’s all he really wants from you.
